Trees around the Selah Campground in Courtenay, BC

Selah Campsite

Selah is a beautiful forested campsite, alongside the Puntlege River in Courtenay, Vancouver Island, BC. With shaded camping areas, lots of recreation opportunities, and a peaceful, private environment, Selah is a premier destination for church group camping.

Selah Campsite is part of Viewfield Farms, a working dairy owned by the Taylor families. The campsite currently has a 20 year history beginning in 1997, when a small part of the farm property near the river was logged and cleared. As cleanup progressed to develop a small picnic area, the potential began to emerge for a recreation spot for churches and groups to enjoy. Through the years, and many group efforts, Selah has grown from a small picnic site into a large, diverse campground!

The vision of the Taylors has been to provide a destination for churches to gather at, a place to camp in a beautiful, natural setting, and worship the God of Creation. Selah is really an outdoor cathedral, where any church can gather on a summer weekend and meet in a new, fresh way. It is always a pleasure to see how many persons and groups have been blessed by spending time here, and how they leave refreshed, and how many times they return to make new memories!
